Italian Meatball Pizza Recipe
Perfect cooked in our EK4923 Pizza Oven  
 
Ingredients
80g mozzarella, torn into chunks 
4 basil leaves, torn 
1 tsp chopped parsley 
Chilli Oil 
Handful of Parmesan cheese shavings
For the meatballs
200g tomato sauce 
100g beef mince 
100g veal mince 
50g streaky bacon 
30g Parmesan cheese, grated 
1 slice of white, crustless bread 
1 egg yolk 
1 garlic clove, crushed 
Salt and pepper
Method
Step 1: Soak the bread in the egg yolk and mash it with a fork 
Step 2: Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix the remaining meatball ingredients together with the bread and roll into small balls 
Step 3: In a large saucepan, heat up the passata and when simmering, add the meatballs and cook for approx. 8 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through 
Step 4: Spread the meatballs and passata onto the pizza base, then add the mozzarella and basil leaves on top 
Step 5: Slide the pizza onto the pizza stone and bake the pizza for 1 minute or until the pizza crust is browned, turning it 180° halfway through cooking 
Step 6: Once cooked, remove from the pizza oven, sprinkle the Parmesan shavings and fresh parsley on top and drizzle over the chilli oil
